A PERSONAL NOTE
I have worked in the fitness industry for over 20 years (wow, I feel old). I came to a point in life where I found myself unhappy with the industry, selling programs and promoting products I didn’t believe in. My personal training clients would come into workout and not fulfill their potential; I felt like I was failing them. Most memorable was an online client named Jane. Her doctor told her to make lifestyle changes, or she would see some serious health concerns in the coming years. She would make progress while on my coaching program, where I can encourage and support, but struggled out in the real world on her own. I realized my clients need more help making a lifestyle change, and I was determined to help them. So, I signed up for a Health Coaching course to learn how to teach clients to make a change. I now started showing and guiding clients down a healthy lifestyle, not just telling them what to do. I also made my own lifestyle changes, focusing on wellness by living a healthy lifestyle to the best of my ability. It’s not just physical exercise and nutrition, it’s all aspects of wellness. Today I make it a priority to help clients through the process of making a change, focus on living a healthy lifestyle, and walking away from me happier & healthier than when we first met.
